How We Started
Founder of Chesapeake Security, Rick Tabor, has worked in the law enforcement industry for over forty years. During his time in law enforcement, Rick worked for a county of over 600,000 residents in the departments of Patrol, Narcotics Investigations, S.W.A.T., and Criminal Investigations.
After retiring from the police department with the title of Command Level Officer, Rick was appointed as the second in command at a large county Sheriff’s Office, holding the rank of Colonel. With twelve years at the Sheriff’s Office under his belt, Rick realized that there was a gap in private sector security in the Baltimore-Washington area, one that he wanted to fill.
